Looking into the nothingness

Laying here alone in the darkness

Where are my words

Have I lost them or did I let them go

My mind is slipping into the abyss

Thoughts running in and out

You tell yourself just close your eyes

Tomorrow will start again

But you know it will be the same within this robotic world

No escape from the walls you have enclosed yourself within

It’s like the world is teasing you

Telling you it will be different but knowing it will stay the same

We walk around smile, laugh, cry with others and lie to them and ourselves

But within it all-knowing this will end but will not end……..
